BIT: “YOU KNOW!”

BIT is more than just a regular business/technology program students get “stuck with.” So say students who have had Ms. Cooley for the past 4 years.

Ms. Cooley has changed roles many times throughout her years at Hamilton. I was one out of many in her class that she left an impact on, welcoming people with a big “HELLO.’’ She never failed to please her students and have them see they chose a pretty cool SLC.

Ms. Cooley said that she is passionate about BIT because she sees how there is hope in becoming a greater community as a whole. “I saw change in our SLC when many didn’t,” Ms. Cooley said.

Ms. Cooley mentioned how her leadership class has been making a greater impact on the SLC. “BIT has always gained a leadership class, but it fell off when Covid came around,” said Ms. Cooley. “My leadership class and the students who partake in making it better showed hope.” Her smile as she spoke showed me how proud she was to be in BIT.

Expressing her personality is a trait Ms.Cooley wants her students to see. “I want my students to be happy and safe in my class,” Ms. Cooley said.

Bella Preciado said, “Even when she wasn’t trying, her light came out in the room when she would teach.” Many students said they enjoyed that a lot.

As I left her classroom, she shouted, “BIT IS THE BEST,” “BIT IS THE BEST. And then her students and I shouted, “YOU KNOW!”
