As the school year begins, student leadership is gearing up to make a positive impact on the campus and ensure a memorable and successful year for all students. The leadership team has been hard at work planning initiatives, events, and opportunities that foster community, academic growth, and personal development. Here’s a look at what student leadership has in store for the upcoming year.
“We expect to plan more fun events and get more student participation and spirit,” said Simone Ashley, co-chair of student affairs.
So what can students expect from the 2024-2025 ASB cabinet? Co-Chair of Student Affairs Ashley Garcia said that ASB already has planned different events for the beginning of the school year so far.
“Some of our upcoming events are our homecoming dance and game, our harvest fest, and our blood drive,” Ashley said. Like Simone, Ashley wants to have more inclusivity when it comes to events at school.
The ASB Cabinet is expecting a big change this year when it comes to participation in their activities at school. They believe that they can boost school spirit with more events that reach the school as a whole rather than small groups. They say they are passionate about the ‘old money’ homecoming theme. They believe that since they have a strong leadership and good work ethic, they can make this school year as inclusive and fun as possible for the students of Hamilton.
