The Hamilton girls’ varsity tennis team played a great match vs Westchester Monday afternoon, winning 7-0. The game was intense but with their passion for the sport, the players were able to pull through and win all their matches.
Although they won, it didn’t come easy for the girls. “One of the biggest difficulties in the games is serving and receiving our opponent’s serve,” said senior Ava Schulman.
Malka Pardo, a senior on the team, shared her experience facing challenges.
“I won my match 1-8, but handling my emotions was hard to handle when I would get frustrated,” she said.
Malka also commented that the team was there to support her in those times and that their upcoming game will be this Thursday. She and her teammates shared that they will most definitely be practicing more and working on their serves.
Their coach Mr. Gaiter said he hoped the team got a great learning experience this season.
“I hope they know the true value and meaning that if you work hard you can achieve it,” he said.
