Hamilton’s school play, The Crucible by Arthur Miller, opened recently, and the students have been rehearsing everyday after school. This can be stressful, students said, but they are confident in their abilities to work together and make it all work.
Recently, during a rehearsal of the show’s first act, the actors confidently strutted through the long act with no trouble whatsoever. All actors had their lines memorized, and obviously had chemistry together.
Micah Rosenthal, an AMPA senior who has participated in many of Hamilton’s plays, said the actors have their lines and characters ready.
“The rehearsals are going really well, and all the actors have a deep understanding of the meanings and themes of the play,” Micah said. “The cast is growing together to create something really beautiful.”
Similarly, Clementine Jones, another AMPA senior who also has participated in many of Hamilton’s productions, said the performers are confidently slipping into character.
“Our cast is really well prepared,’’ Clementine said. “Even more prepared than in the past.”
The play is being performed every day except Halloween, from October 30th to November 2nd at 7 p.m. On November 2nd, there is an additional show at 1:00 p.m.
