On Wednesday, the Folklorico dance group performed on stage at the quad, showing their wonderful dance skills and hard work. They performed four dances with each having their own meaning for Dia De Los Muertos to honor those who fought in the revolution and to honor those who passed away.
I thought every dance was very beautiful, they all were well done. I admire their hard work and passion This group practiced for three class periods also including their lunch and nutrition breaks. For the short amount of time that they had they did a really good job. Their hair, makeup, outfits were very beautiful; I loved how everyone worked as a team to make the dance look professional.
Of course, I wasn’t the only person in the crowd. Everyone loved the show! They showed their admiration with their claps and yelling praises. I can only imagine it made the dancers feel good about themselves, considering all the hard work they put in with the little amount of time they had.
They definitely deserve all the love they received and more for their performances, as well as their teacher Ms. Maritza because it probably isn’t easy having to teach many kids all different dances and to have all of them ready by the day of the performance.
The show was very good! Many witnesses, including myself, enjoyed it very much. I would love it if everyone knew how good our Folklorico dance group is. They definitely need more attention for all their hard work to learn all their dances while still having to focus on studies.
