The Arabic teacher and his students are getting their choreography ready for the upcoming Middle East and North Africa (MENA) show, by having rehearsals and practices after school.
The play is about a Lebanese couple who own a restaurant that was passed down through a family line. Then, the couple comes across some conflicts they need to resolve. When they come across a genie who also runs in their family, they learn that the genie might just be able to help them with their problems.
The creators of the play want to shine a light on the wonderful cultures of the Middle East and North Africa, said AMPA senior Taejaeya Sanderson.
“The reason we’re doing this show is so that the school can have a taste of the Arabic culture,” Taejaeya said. “The best way I can show the Arabic culture is through dance.”
