Being at Hamilton for four years has been an amazing experience. I have made so many great memories with the people I’ve met here and I have made great friends that I am very grateful for. Having the yearbook to remember all my friends and the memories from the past four years allows me to reminisce for many years to come.
I got my yearbook May 14 and I thought it was so cute. The yearbook is supposed to represent a composition notebook, and I was immediately charmed by the creativity. I know many people probably would’ve chosen to do something else, but seeing how the final product came out, I thought it was very nice.
BITA senior Elena Espinoza was part of the yearbook committee; she was a sports editor. Her job was to create several sport pages in the yearbook.
“It wasn’t easy even though many people think it sounds simple,” Elena said. “It was very challenging from getting all the photos in on time and having to set up many appointments, also having accurate class rosters. But some of my favorite parts were getting to make new friends, like my friend Natalia, [and] sharing laughs and just having a good time.”
Elena emphasized how much time they put into the final product.
“It took us the whole school year to create the yearbook,” Elena said. “There were a few challenges along the way, but we got through them as a team.”
Having a good yearbook committee is probably something that helped the whole thing come together. Having Ms. Reyes there as well as an assistant to help them and to guide them must have been a big help for everyone.
“This was my first time making the yearbook so it was very challenging but also such a great experience, learning the process and seeing everything come along,” she said. “Having everyone be creative and add art to the yearbook was such a great part of everything.”
