Humanities: “A part of something”

The Humanities Magnet has always had a tiny population throughout the years. Many students say it provides a different perspective when it comes to learning. As students grow their minds in these programs, they feel comfortable and safe in their little bubble.

Ms. DeGuzman, an economics teacher for the Humanities Magnet, talks about how she shares a strong love for the Humanities Magnet’s size.

“I want humanities to keep on growing its diversity as the years go on,” said Ms. DeGuzman. “I love meeting different characters who are interested in this program!”

Emily Juarez, a senior in the Humanities program, said, “Being in the Humanities program makes me feel a part of something. I enjoy being in the classes I have.”

“We get to really know each other due to the small program we share, and I am not complaining about that ,” Ms. DeGuzman shared while chuckling.
