Gilda: the perfect start to the show

The show began with the gifted Gilda accompanied by Sapa Thai, Max, and Riley Shmedeman. Gilda performed three songs: “Pink Rosé,” “as above, so below,” and “darling”. Inexperience wasn’t a problem for her, as she has performed countless times including at the venue The Mint. This was apparent from her confidence throughout her set. “It’s always more exciting than nerve wracking for me to be on stage!” Gilda said. “I honestly feel my most confident self on stage!” The performance wasn’t completely as desired, according to Gilda, as her mic kept drooping down, but she played off beautifully and unnoticeable by most. She most enjoyed getting to perform “Darling” a song of hers that hasn’t been sung in a while. Her sweet vocals and energy were a perfect start to the solstice. Jasmene Preston, a sophomore attending another school, described the group as one of her favorites, exclaiming that they “work very well as a group!”
