Upon returning to school from winter break, the students of Los Angeles were hit with a shocking wave of cold weather. This weather was unexpected and unusual. For about a week straight, the weather stayed below 60 degrees.

SAS Junior Ashley Alas said that the cold makes her routine a bit harder every morning.

“During the summer I can wake up pretty easily in perfect weather,” Ashley said. “But now I just want to stay sleeping due to the cold.”

On the other hand, BIT junior Genesis Castillo said she enjoys the cold.

“I like the cold weather actually,” she said. “I like to stay cute and comfy.”

Humanities senior Alyssia Jones said that the school can do more to help students out during the cold mornings.

“Teachers should turn on their heaters and close their doors,” she said.

As the winter weather in Los Angeles carries on, students continue to adjust to this uncomfortable change.
