SAS Junior Micah Butler predicted the Dodgers second World Series win in a row.
“It was a great feeling, back to back win, and I called it last year, but they never believed me.”

The Dodgers won five to four against the Blue Jays on November 1st after six intense games, keeping Angelinos on the edge of their seats, especially Hami’s own Yankees.
Micah adds some fun traditions he does to watch the games.
“For some games I might make some wings and watch them with my family”
Alan Santiago, a sophomore, also shares some friend traditions he partakes in during the games.
“I usually go with my friends, not my family since they’re not interested in baseball.”
For many of the students, the World Series becomes more than just a sports event, but rather moments where people come together and talk about the wins and losses, creating a community.
Many baseball fans have pre-game rituals that they believe will help their team win the game. Some of these rituals include throwing together a plate of chips and dip to sit and watch the game. Some traditions are more light-hearted, but others feel sacred.
SAS Junior Mayte Hernandez shares some of the things her family does when watching the game.
“We gather at the house and just watch the game on the TV when we’re not able to attend and celebrate.”

The shared moments during the game reflect that the community doesn’t solely revolve around the game itself but around coming together and watching the game with the people you love.
