Over the past few months, students have been prepping for the one-night-only performance Broadway Night. The annual AMPA fundraiser for the musical theater department consists of three acts, spotlighting students in the theater department. The show features group performances, as well as solos, duets, and trios. A silent auction is held at the beginning of the event, where people can bid on various themed baskets, ranging from trinkets to fun experiences. All proceeds go directly towards the Musical Theater Department to help finance shows for the fall and spring semesters.
Sophomore Beatrix Farber shared her experience working on Broadway Night. “I’ve loved working with these people,” Beatrix said. “I got to meet some new people that I really haven’t worked with before.”
Griffin Kramer, an AMPA junior, echoed this sentiment. “Broadway Night has been fantastic. I really have enjoyed the people and the emotions it’s brought,” he said.
Broadway Night opens tonight at 6:30 pm. Be sure to purchase your tickets!
